Katrin Reichel, M.A., studied Communication Science, Psychology and Sociology at the University of Jena, Germany. Since 2009 she is scientific assistant at the Institute of Mass Communication and Media Research (IPMZ) in the department “Media Psychology & Effects”. Before she came to Zurich, she was scientific assistant at the department of Mass Media and Communication Research at the University of Jena. Her main research interests are media reception and effects, political persuasion, infotainment, processes of learning and knowledge acquisition in a media specific context, empirical research methods and statistics together with statistical matching.
